Ligue 1’s reigning champions opened the scoring just four minutes as João Neves released Bradley Barcola for a surging run followed by a smart finish.

Neves extended his tally to four assists in his first two games for Les Parisiens when he played in Marcos Asensio to sweep home a second inside the penalty area.

Luis Enrique’s side moved through the gears after the interval with Barcola claiming a brace from Ousmane Dembélé’s cutback to slot into an empty net.

A further two goals arrived in as many minutes, first through Achraf Hakimi volleying Nuno Mendes’ deep cross before Dembélé teed up Warren Zaïre-Emery.

Lee Kang-in added a finishing touch to the rout in the closing stages by powering in a shot from outside the box to confirm a flawless start to the new campaign.
