Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte (23) is set to undergo a medical with Manchester United this Tuesday to complete his €60m move to the Red Devils, according to a report from The Athletic. Last week, both clubs were nearing an agreement on principle for the transfer of the Uruguay international. The Premier League’s outlay to sign Ugarte means PSG won’t miss out financially on a player they bought just one year ago from Sporting CP in a €60m deal.

The outlet understands that Manchester United and PSG have reached an agreement on a €50m fixed transfer fee plus a further €10m in performance-related add-ons. Despite a spectacular debut to his PSG career, Ugarte has been progressively frozen out by head coach Luis Enrique. The Uruguay international was left out of the matchday squad that humiliated Montpellier 6-0 last Friday. Ugarte’s signing in the French capital was reportedly sanctioned before the Spaniard took over.
