Paris Saint-Germain are not expected to make a move to sign Manchester City’s Rodri (30) during this transfer window, according to reports in Le Parisien.

This decision follows the Rouge et Bleu management’s desire to rely on the players already in their squad, as they believe they possess the best midfield in the world.

With a year remaining on his contract with the Sky Blues, Rodri could, however, leave England in the coming weeks, as FC Barcelona and Real Madrid – with whom he is reportedly already in agreement – are said to be very keen on signing him.

After a 2025-26 season marred by injuries, the Spanish midfielder has regained his form and played a pivotal role in La Roja’s quest for the World Cup title. Voted the tournament’s best player, he put in a series of impressive performances throughout the knockout stages of the competition, capping off his fine display against the Argentine.
