With a reshuffle in the goalkeeping department expected this summer at Paris Saint-Germain, the Ligue 1 champions appear to have made their first move.
According to L’Équipe tonight, a contract proposal has been put forward to Arnau Tenas, a 22-year-old shot-stopper who left Barcelona at the end of his contract earlier this summer.
The Catalan was notably a starter in the Spain squad that reached the final of the U21 Euros, before eventually losing to England. He was a regular in the Blaugrana reserve team, but did not break through into the senior side.
Tenas, who has the same agent as PSG’s new manager Luis Enrique, is seen by the club as a potential backup option and one for the future. At the time of writing, the goalkeeper has yet to respond to the offer. He would presumably take up the outgoing Keylor Navas’ spot on the bench, with the Costa Rican expected to leave following his loan spell at Nottingham Forest in the second half of last season.
