Paris Saint-Germain have opened talks to extend the contract of Senny Mayulu (19), according to a report from L’Équipe.

The versatile Frenchman is becoming an increasingly important player for PSG. Mayulu has started every one of PSG’s three UEFA Champions League fixtures this season, having also scored in the final of the competition last season.

It is Mayulu’s ability to play in several positions that has aided him in recent months. Amid an injury crisis that affected the entire forward line and also the midfield, he has been able to fill in on both wings, in the No.9 position, and also in midfield, where it seems his long-term future lies.

And his long-term future, PSG hope, will lie at the Parc des Princes. The France youth international’s current deal with Les Parisiens runs until the summer of 2027 and so time is of the essence to renew. Talks over a renewal are already underway.
