Paris Saint-Germain are ready to reopen talks with City Hall over a possible sale of the Parc des Princes, after the Council of Paris handed new mayor Emmanuel Grégoire a mandate to negotiate with the 2025 European champions. The club said in a statement that it had noted the decision and, citing its historic bond with the ground, was prepared to resume discussions.
The extraordinary session took place on Tuesday, before PSG’s quarter-final second leg at Liverpool, 2-0, that evening. Grégoire secured the mandate and will be joined in negotiations by 16th arrondissement mayor Jérémy Redler. The message was conveyed by chief executive Victoriano Melero.
Any talks will be underpinned by detailed studies to resolve outstanding questions and test the project’s feasibility and sustainability. There is also the option of folding the Parc into a wider Porte de Saint-Cloud redevelopment led by the city.
Those studies will include continuous dialogue with stakeholders, working closely with the City of Paris as well as local authorities and state services, in line with work already undertaken at Massy and Poissy. The club’s guiding aim, whatever the outcome, is to prepare its future and build a solid, sustainable project with the territories involved.
The Massy and Poissy options remain active, with site studies and discussions ongoing. Both municipalities plan to consult residents on the project. The aim is to take a decision in autumn 2026, and the club now has three potential stadium options.
