Arsenal have secured their place in the final of the UEFA Champions League for only the second time in their history and for the first time in 20 years. On 31st May, they will face either Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich in Budapest. On Tuesday night, William Saliba was asked his preferred opponent.
Arsenal beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 at the Emirates, thanks to a goal from Bukayo Saka, on Tuesday night to advance to the final. That result came after a 1-1 draw in Madrid one week earlier. The Gunners, regardless of their opponent, will go into the final as the underdog.
Last week, PSG and Bayern Munich saw out a nine-goal thriller in Paris. It was the reigning champions who take a slender lead (5-4) to Bavaria on Wednesday night. Ahead of the second leg, Canal Plus asked France international Saliba about his preferred opponent for the final in Hungary.
“Whether it is Bayern or PSG, it will be very hard. At least we have won. We’ll make the most of it tomorrow and be ready for the 31st May,” said the Frenchman.
