Juan Hernandez has been one of the youth prospects who have been called up to train with the FC Barcelona first team on a semi-regular basis in recent weeks by manager Hansi Flick.
The 18-year-old midfield prodigy, enjoying his breakthrough season with Barça Atletic under Juliano Belletti, even made the matchday squad for the senior team for a couple of matches this month.
However, the youngster’s contract with Barça stands to expire at the end of the season, which has put clubs across Europe on alert.
In fact, according to Mundo Deportivo, reigning French and European champions PSG have set their sights on a summer move for Hernandez.
The 18-year-old prodigy, who has been at La Masia since 2020, has attracted Les Parisiens’ interest after making an impression with his performances for the Barcelona reserve team this term.

Hernandez, whose contract expires on 30 June 2026, is a versatile midfielder capable of performing both centrally and on the flanks. This season, he has started seven matches for Barça Atletic, scoring and assisting one.
PSG are always attentive to emerging talent from La Masia, even more so with Luis Enrique at the helm of affairs. And, they are closely following Hernandez’s development.
The Ligue 1 giants view the teenage prospect as an ideal profile for their project focused on young European players, which has already yielded strong results alongside their high-profile signings.
Hernandez currently has a release clause set at €6 million, but he could be signed on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires.
Despite initial discussions between Barcelona and his representatives, a contract renewal has yet to be finalised, leaving the door open for PSG and other suitors.
