Randal Kolo Muani (26) to Juventus was the deal that rumbled on throughout the transfer window, without ever coming to fruition.
The Frenchman spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus, who had hoped to retain the player. However, talks with Paris Saint-Germain proved difficult. Despite optimism that an agreement would be found, there was a breakdown in talks on deadline day, and the forward instead joined Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan, without a permanent option.
It had been reported by Le Parisien in late August that a deal between the clubs had almost been struck. RMC Sport, however, stated that the numerous changes in the structure of the deal have led PSG to cut talks.
PSG, and specifically Les Parisiens’ president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, were left frustrated by the Serie A side’s management of the failed Kolo Muani deal. Al-Khelaifi’s message to Juventus’ directors has now been revealed by Sports Zone. “You’ve been making fun of us for weeks. It’s over. You won’t win the case. I’ll remember your methods, you can count on that,” said the PSG manager.
