Paris Saint-Germain will be without Achraf Hakimi for the Champions League semi-final second leg after the defender sustained a hamstring injury against Bayern Munich.

Hakimi was forced off late in the first-leg encounter at the Parc des Princes after pulling up while attempting to close down an opponent.

The Morocco international immediately clutched his right hamstring and required treatment before leaving the pitch.

Although he was able to walk off unaided, the nature of the injury raised immediate concerns within the PSG camp.

Initial assessments now suggest the problem is serious enough to rule him out of the return leg at the Allianz Arena next week.

The 27-year-old has reportedly suffered a hamstring tear, which would make his participation in the decisive second leg highly unlikely.

PSG are yet to issue a full medical update, but the expectation is that Hakimi will miss the trip to Munich.

Manager Luis Enrique was cautious when asked about the situation after the match. He said the club would need to assess the player further before confirming the extent of the injury.

Hakimi’s absence would be a significant blow for PSG, given his influence at both ends of the pitch.

The right-back contributed an assist during the first leg, playing a key role in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s goal as PSG built a narrow advantage.

His pace, attacking support and defensive recovery have been central to PSG’s Champions League campaign this season.

PSG were also forced to manage the closing stages of the first leg carefully after using all available substitution windows, leaving them temporarily stretched.

There were additional concerns over Nuno Mendes, who was substituted late on after appearing to struggle physically.

Despite their strong attacking display, PSG only hold a slender advantage heading into the return fixture.

Bayern are firmly in contention after scoring four goals in Paris, leaving the tie finely balanced.

Hakimi’s likely absence adds further uncertainty to PSG’s preparations for one of the most important matches of their season.
