PSG intent to hold firm amid Liverpool’s pursuit of France international winger Bradley Barcola (23). The Athletic reported today that the Reds were planning to submit an opening bid to the back-to-back UEFA Champions League winners for the Lyon Academy graduate. Barcola informed the Ligue 1 champions of his intention not to extend his contract, which is set to expire in 2028. The winger agreed in principle to join Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool side.

The Telegraph understands that it would take a £110m+ transfer bid from Liverpool to have a chance at securing Barcola’s services. PSG reportedly use Chelsea’s £117m signing of Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers to determine their valuation of Barcola. Last summer, Liverpool beat their transfer record three times by completing the signings of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike, Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz and Newcastle’s Alexander Isak for a combined €365m outlay, taking into account add-ons.
