PSG v Monaco: Doubt over two key Paris players!

This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain will face AS Monaco at the Parc des Princes as part of the second leg of the 2025-2026 Champions League play-offs (first leg ended 2-3), with kick-off at 9pm and broadcast on Canal+. This Monday, after PSG’s training session, L’Equipe provided an update on the Parisian squad.

“While the rest of their teammates were resting on Monday, Ousmane Dembélé and Fabian Ruiz continued their treatment at the Campus. Unlike Senny Mayulu and Quentin Ndjantou, the absences of the forward and the midfielder have not yet been confirmed for the Champions League play-off second leg against Monaco this Wednesday (9pm). Another update will be given on Tuesday. Substituted as a precaution at halftime during the win against Metz (3-0) on Saturday, the forward is no longer experiencing any pain in his adductors.”

Ousmane Dembélé (28-year-old forward) and Fabian Ruiz (29-year-old midfielder) are unlikely to be ready for this match. Especially the latter, who does not seem to have trained with the group today and has not played for a while. As for the former, there remains a small hope given the short absence. But no risks will be taken. We’ll know more with PSG’s official medical update tomorrow, which should be published around 11am. Let’s hope it confirms the good news about Doué (20-year-old midfielder/forward), who was already very reassuring after the match.
