PSG v Bayern Munich - Big Match Predictor

Despite two red cards, PSG did enough to hang on and beat Bayern Munich in the Fifa Club World Cup quarter-finals.

It was a manic finish in Atlanta after Desire Doue found the back of the net in the 78th minute, beating an otherwise unimpeachable Manuel Neuer.

Bayern had two goals disallowed in the game, with Dayot Upamecano’s header in first-half stoppage time flagged down for offside. Harry Kane joined the party late on, but the linesman again cut celebrations short after he found the bottom corner.

PSG looked set to see out victory before Willian Pacho was given his marching orders by Anthony Taylor for a studs-first challenge on Leon Goretzka’s shin.

And, that was only the beginning, as Lucas Hernandez soon followed in added time at the end of the 90 minutes after lashing out at a Bayern opponent.

With the Parisians down to nine-men, the German-side pushed for an equaliser and were left open at the back. Ousmane Dembele capitalised to finish the game off, sweeping the ball beyond Neuer from the centre of the Bayern box.

That was far from the end of the drama, though, as Vincent Kompany’s men had a penalty awarded beyond the 100th minute for a high boot from Nuno Mendes.

But, VAR overturned the decision, and it remained 2-0 when the final whistle blew.

Bayern’s Jamala Musiala suffered an awful leg injury just before the end of the first-half, and was not seen after the interval.

PSG will now face either Borussia Dortmund of Real Madrid, who contest the last quarter-final later tonight.

European champions PSG had come into the game off the back of dismantling Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-0, giving their former player a harsh reality check on the different beast the Parisians have morphed into since his departure.
