Paris Saint-Germain are targeting a summer move for West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
West Ham brought the Portuguese to the London Stadium from Southampton last summer, and he has been a key player under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Fernandes has played 33 games across all competitions, weighing in with four goals and three assists.
PSG have already established contact with his representatives as they look to lure him away from West Ham.
The Hammers are battling relegation, and failure to survive the drop at the end of the season would result in them losing Fernandes and other players.
Nuno will be desperate to keep them up, but that would not guarantee them holding on to the Portuguese international, especially if PSG come calling.
They are the reigning Champions League champions and are already in the semi-finals of the elite European competition again this term as they look to defend their trophy.
Joining them would appeal to Fernandes, with the opportunity to play with some of his international teammates on offer at the French club.
The West Ham star would link up with Vitinha, Goncalo Ramos, Joao Neves and Nuno Mendes if he joins PSG.
Fernandes’ technical ability will also attract other suitors even if the French club do not make any concrete move to sign him, and holding on to him beyond this summer could be tricky for the Hammers.
