Paris Saint-Germain are trying to tie one of their most promising academy products to a new deal, as per a report from RMC Sport.

Senny Mayulu (19) made the breakthrough last season and even netted in PSG’s UEFA Champions League final win over Inter Milan. This season, he has featured prominently for his formative club, playing 28 times in all competitions, registering nine goal contributions in that time (four goals, five assists).

His current deal, however, expires in 2027, and there is an element of urgency as the reigning European champions look to extend his deal. PSG wish to extend Mayulu’s contract until 2030, RMC Sport understands, and whilst there is competition from several clubs in Europe, he is prioritising his formative club.

However, ICI Paris Ile-de-France report that there is a problem, with the player’s wage demands not aligned with the self-imposed salary scale at the Parc des Princes. The publication understands, therefore, that negotiations have reached a “dead end”… for now.
