Désiré Doué (20) has not featured for Paris Saint-Germain since the end of October when he suffered a thigh injury against Stade Brestois. The diagnosis for the Stade Rennais academy product, named Golden Boy earlier this season, was not good. It was expected that Doué would be out until the end of the calendar year and a return in January was envisaged.
The injury was his second of the current season, after he had suffered a calf injury with the France national team back in the September international break. He missed around a fortnight of action then, too, and so PSG are not looking to take risks.
That being said, Le Parisien understands that Doué could return earlier than expected and he could yet feature again for the European champions before the end of 2025. In any case, internally, there is an idea that he could play again before Christmas.
He is not yet training on the pitch, but Le Parisien understands that he will do so next week. PSG play in the Intercontinental Cup in Doha on 17th December. This could be a potential return date.
