Désiré Doué (20) is set for a lengthy absence, having suffered a muscle tear during Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-1 draw against FC Lorient on Wednesday night.

The France international came off on a stretcher after sustaining the injury last night. It is Doué’s second injury of the season, having previously sustained a muscular injury during the September international break, which kept him out for a month. His absence will be more prolonged this time around, L’Équipe understands.

Doué out of upcoming France squad

The publication reports that the PSG forward’s absence will be measured “at least in weeks”, suggesting that he could be on the treatment table for perhaps a couple of months, maybe more.

At the very least, he will miss the upcoming international break, just as he did in October. It is a blow for Les Parisiens and for Les Bleus, who will be deprived of a talented and versatile player in their attack.
