PSG manager Luis Enrique is coming off winning a treble, including the UEFA Champions League, which is the first ever in the club’s history.

As a result, it was a shoe-in that the Spanish manager would win the Johan Cruyff trophy for best men’s coach. While other challenging candidates like Liverpool’s Arne Slot, Barcelona’s Hansi Flick, and others won major trophies, none can compare to what Enrique did at PSG last season.

Enrique turned PSG into a machine when the calendar turned to 2025. The Ligue 1 side went through Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal to get to the final, leading to them destroying Inter Milan 5-0 to win the Champions League.

While the capital club nearly won everything in 2025, only losing the FIFA Club World Cup final to Chelsea, the 2024-25 season didn’t start out that way. Enrique and his team had a sluggish start in the Champions League and barely squeaked into the knockout stage.

Despite their early struggles, everything clicked and as the saying goes, the rest was history in what turned into a magical season for PSG.
