According to L'Équipe, Carlo Ancelotti said on Wednesday that PSG captain Marquinhos is ruled out of Brazil v France on Thursday at 21:00 in Foxborough, near Boston, Massachusetts.

The Brazil coach did not specify the area of the injury. The 31-year-old, who has 103 caps and 7 goals, was hurt in training on Monday, likely a muscle problem.

The issue does not appear serious. Ancelotti indicated he could be available for the second friendly of the camp, against Croatia on Wednesday at 21:00.

Brazil are already without Gabriel of Arsenal and left-back Alex Sandro of Flamengo.

Léo Pereira of Flamengo should start at centre-back and is in line for his first cap at 30. Roma full-back Wesley will start on the right, with Douglas Santos, 32, of Zenit Saint Petersburg on the left.
