PSV have announced the signing of Hirving Lozano from Napoli. The Mexican winger has returned to the Philips Stadion following four seasons in Italy. PSV have spent €15m on the 28-year-old, who they sold for around €45m in the summer of 2019. Lozano is now PSV’s record purchase. He’s signed a five-year contract, valid until 2028.
Lozano scored 40 goals and provided 23 assists in 79 PSV appearances during his first spell in the Netherlands. The former Pachuca player helped the club lift the Eredivisie title during the 17/18 season. With Napoli, Lozano scored 30 goals and provided 17 assists in 155 appearances. He had recently fallen down the pecking order at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Hirving Lozano has become PSV’s sixth signing of the summer. The Dutch giants have brought in the likes of Ricardo Pepi, Noa Lang, Malik Tillman, Jerdy Schouten and Sergiño Dest. PSV are aiming for their 25th Eredivisie title this season, having finished in second place last season.
