Mounir Boualin is reporting that PSV have added Wolves striker Hwang Hee-Chan to their list of possible attacking reinforcements this January. With Ricardo Pepi side-lined, and other strikers joining him, Hwang is an option that PSV are thinking of exploring over the next few weeks. With Wolves looking set to be relegated, Hwang may well welcome to chance to swap a relegation battle in the Premier League for an Eredivisie title race and Champions League football.
Hwang has been on PSV’s radar before, with the club considering a move for him in the past. Now, injuries seem to have returned their attention to the Wolves forward. The South Korean joined Wolves back in the 2021/2022 season, where he went on to score five goals in 31 games. His best season for Wolves came during the 2023/2024 campaign, where he scored 13 goals in 31 games. Hwang has also played for RB Salzburg and Hamburg in the past.
