PSV midfielder could be set for big money move to Fenerbahçe

ESPN are reporting that Joey Veerman could be leaving PSV in January. The 27-year-old could be on his way to joining Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, who are reportedly willing to activate his €20m buyout clause. Should PSV lose Veerman in the upcoming transfer window, they may turn to Kodai Sano of NEC Nijmegen. Sano is also a target for Mainz 05, who are currently bottom of the Bundesliga.
Veerman has been with PSV since 2022, when he joined from Heerenveen. Veerman has been with the club for a few seasons after leaving from Volendam in 2019. Since joining PSV in 2022, Veerman has gone on to play 178 games for the side, scoring 31 games. Veerman has won two Eredivisie titles and two domestic cups since joining PSV. He has also been capped by the national team.
PSV are currently on course for another Eredivisie title, despite an indifferent start to the season. So far this season, Veerman has scored eight goals and grabbed eight assists across both he Eredivisie and Champions League.
