As per Voetbal International, PSV seem close to the arrival of Daniel Peretz. According to Israeli media too, the national champion has almost reached an agreement with the goalkeeper and his club Bayern Munich for a loan with an option to buy.
It was already clear that Peretz, like Nick Olij, was in the picture at PSV, who are expected to part ways with Walter Benítez and Joël Drommel this summer. As a result, the Eindhoven team will have to look for two goalkeepers. The first is almost in. The expectation is that Peretz’s arrival will be completed in the coming days.
Peretz was also tracked by the likes of Burnley, Leeds United and Genoa, but preferred a move to PSV because they play in the Champions League. In order to fully participate in the preparation for the new season, the 24-year-old Bayern goalkeeper has been given permission to skip the Club World Cup.
The Israeli has played five times this season, struggling to make an impact amidst fierce competition with captain and figurehead Manuel Neuer and winter signing Jonas Urbig. The German record champions signed the stopper from Maccabi Tel Aviv two years ago for five million euros. In southern Germany, the six-time Israel international is under contract until mid-2028.
