The return to club football has not gone to plan for PSV Eindhoven after they recorded an unfortunate club statistic during their loss to Cambuur on Saturday.
Silvester van der Water kicked off the party for hosts and with only one goal separating the sides for 84 minutes, everything was up for grabs still.
That was until two strikes at the death from Mitchell Paulissen and Sai van Wermeskerken saw the relegation zone side win 3-0 over the Eredivisie giants who are second in the table.
It’s the first time PSV have lost a league match to a side ranked 17th or lower by three or more goals.
And with Ajax set to play later on, things could get even worse for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side.
