Joel Ndala (18) has left his PSV loan prematurely to return to Manchester City. Underwhelmed with the teen’s progress in Eindhoven, the Cityzens have agreed a loan deal to Nottingham Forest.

Ndala was initially supposed to stay in the Netherlands until the summer and while PSV had a purchase option on Ndala, the English giants recalled him following a bleak impression at the Philips Stadion.

The player’s loan period in the Netherlands did not turn out as all parties had hoped. Ndala played twelve matches in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie for Jong PSV, providing one goal and one assist. He was not called up to the first team of the Eindhoven team once.

Ndala can now try his luck at Forest, the revelation of the Premier League this season. The number three in the ranking has the possibility to take the England youth international permanently in the summer.

With Ndala’s departure, the number of departures at PSV this winter is five. Matteo Dams, Hirving Lozano, Fredrik Oppegard and Jevon Simons.
