PSV host Heerenveen in the Eredivisie on Saturday, 21 February 2026 at the Philips Stadion, with the leaders seeking to firm up top spot and the visitors defending their qualification play-off position.

PSV have already beaten Heerenveen twice this season, winning 2-0 away in December in the league and 4-1 at home in the KNVB Beker earlier this month.

Boeren's recent league run features victories over Groningen and Feyenoord before a 2-1 slip at Volendam. Heerenveen arrive off back-to-back league wins against Go Ahead Eagles and PEC Zwolle, responding well after a heavy defeat at FC Twente.

Injuries shape selections. For the hosts, Alassane Plea, Nick Olij, Guus Til, Matej Kovar, Anass Salah-Eddine, Ruben van Bommel and Noah Fernandez are sidelined. Til has 12 league goals. Heerenveen are without Levi Smans and Oliver Braude.

The match-up could hinge on control and delivery. Boeren average 2.9 goals per game with 61% possession and 86.70% pass accuracy, and have scored 16 headed goals with accurate crossing from open play at 23.15%. Joey Veerman leads the league with 11 assists, while Ismael Saibari and Ricardo Pepi provide the finish. Heerenveen have scored and conceded 1.7 per match, kept only two clean sheets, and look to threats such as Jacob Trenskow, who has eight league goals, and Dylan Vente with six.

A home win would move Boeren to 62 points and strengthen their grip on the title race. Victory for Heerenveen would take them to 34 points and bolster their push within the European play-off spots.
