Flamengo are increasingly wary over Pulgar’s situation for 2026, despite his contract running until the end of next year.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Pulgar’s renewal last year lowered his release clause to 6 million dollars, with the new figure taking effect from mid-2026, so the board have intensified attention on the midfielder.

Flamengo have not received enquiries for Pulgar. Even so, the hierarchy believes the Chilean should be further valued and is preparing a pay rise.

In the 2025 season, Pulgar was in the final year of his contract and considered leaving. He renewed, with Flamengo accepting a reduced clause, then reversed course after Filipe Luís arrived.

Pulgar joined in July 2022 from Fiorentina for 2.8 million euros (R$ 14.96 million), and has made 153 appearances with five goals and nine assists. His honours include two Copas do Brasil, two Libertadores, one Brasileirão, one Supercopa do Brasil and three Cariocas.

He was not called up by Chile for this FIFA window, so he is available to coach Leonardo Jardim for training ahead of the next matches.

With Pulgar available, Flamengo face Bragantino on Thursday (02) at 21:30, Brasília time, at Estádio Cicero de Souza Marques, in the ninth round of the Brasileirão.
