Pulgar will miss Flamengo’s trip to Corinthians in the Brasileirão after receiving his third yellow card in the 3-0 win over Remo.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the Chilean midfielder is ruled out for Sunday’s away game.

He was cautioned after 26 minutes at Maracanã, resulting in an automatic suspension.

Since arriving, Pulgar has been a mainstay. He has featured in 14 of Flamengo’s 18 matches this season, 77%, first under Filipe Luís and now Leonardo Jardim.

In his absence, Leonardo Jardim could turn to academy midfielder Evertton Araújo, who offers a similar screening role in front of the defence.

The fixture is at Neo Química Arena on Sunday 22 March at 20:30 Brasília time, in the eighth round of the league.
