After the disappointing 1-3 defeat against Liverpool, in which he scored the opener, Christian Pulisic spoke to the media about AC Milan’s season. With the derby against Inter up next, they find themselves in a difficult situation.

Milan started the game against the Reds in brilliant fashion thanks to a great goal from Pulisic, trusting his own ability from start to finish. However, the away side got back into the game and eventually won deservedly 3-1, outplaying the Rossoneri for the most part.

Speaking to Sky Italia after the game, as cited by MilanNews, Pulisic shared his thoughts on what went wrong in the game and the current situation. As mentioned, the derby is up next and Milan need to turn things around to avoid disaster.

On the game…

“Another bad result for us, we need to find solutions, improve and win games.”

Are Milan lacking energy?

“At certain moments we had it, but it seems that we are unable to maintain momentum and keep the ball in the opponent’s half. It’s a difficult start to the season for us, we are not happy and we need to change things.

On the derby…

“It’s a great game for us and we need to give it our all, fight, make a change”.

Pulisic will no doubt be an important player for Milan in the derby and with Mike Maignan expected to miss the game, Lorenzo Torriani should be the starting goalkeeper for the Rossoneri.
