Ahead of AC Milan’s game against Juventus, there have been reports about Christian Pulisic’s condition, and Sergio Conceicao offered an update today.
Games against Juventus are always crucial, and it could be argued that this rendition of the clash is up there with the biggest in recent history. Milan’s start under Conceicao has been positive, and he must keep the momentum up, and a positive result against the Bianconeri would be a huge boost.
However, the Portuguese is still fighting against the condition of some players in the squad, meaning he is, once again, likely to enter a big fixture short-handed. Reports from Sky (via Milan News) have stated that Pulisic trained alone at Milanello today.
For this reason, a call-up for the game in Turin is ‘complicated’, which is the last thing that the new head coach would have wanted.
Later, in his pre-match press conference, Conceicao stated that he would be absent, ending any rumours.
“Pulisic is out, we don’t want to risk it, it’s nothing major but we don’t want to risk it. If he plays twenty minutes he risks making the situation worse and I don’t want that.”
