Puma Rodríguez is Vasco’s leading scorer in 2026. The right-back now has five goals, the latest in the 3-0 win over Olimpia on Thursday in the Copa Sudamericana.

According to Globo.com, this is the most prolific campaign of his career, surpassing the four he managed in 2023, his first year at the club.

He opened the scoring against Olimpia with his left foot, striking first time after Adson’s headed pass, despite being right-footed.

His attacking output is no surprise. Since joining Vasco he has often been used on the right wing.

The Uruguayan is competing with Paulo Henrique at right-back. Across Renato Gaúcho’s 13 matches in charge, Rodríguez has started five and the Brazilian the other eight.
