Ipswich Town will be hoping that they can strengthen during this January transfer window, in order to keep pace with League One’s current top two.
Already adding Nathan Broadhead to their frontline during the early stages of this month of transfer activity, Wolves winger Theo Corbeanu is also on their radar, as per The Mirror’s transfer blog (5/1/2023, 16:41).
The exciting winger, who saw his loan spell at Blackpool be cut short after suffering an ankle injury, is closing in on returning to full fitness.
Sharing his thoughts on the 20-year-old, as Ipswich look to strengthen this month, Carlton Palmer told Football League World: “Theo was at loan at Blackpool and he’s had spells with Sheffield Wednesday and MK Dons.
“He is a good player – A very exciting winger.
“Wolves recalled him from Blackpool due to an injury but it’s apparent that that once he is back fit, he will be allowed to go back out on loan.

“So Ipswich, they have been faltering slightly in recent weeks and so, they’re looking to to do some good business in January.
“If they can get Corbeanu over the line that, would represent a very good start to the transfer window.”
The verdict
Corbeanu has certainly shown glimpses of what he is capable of at Blackpool, with the young winger possessing a wand of a left foot and excellent dribbling ability.
Rather unique in the way he operates and someone who represents a completely different option to what the Tractor Boys currently have within their ranks, this has the potential to be a good bit of business.
The addition of Nathan Broadhead is an excellent one and if they are able to add Corbeanu too, then that will only strengthen their chances of automatic promotion.
There are three outstanding teams vying for two automatic promotion places in the third-tier, with all three seemingly approaching this window with aggression.
