Qatar: championship suspended until further notice

This Sunday, the Qatar Football Association announced the postponement of all tournaments, competitions, and matches on its territory, effective immediately and until further notice.

In this context, the Qatar Stars League has suspended Saturday's matches of the 17th round. The fixtures between Al Shamal–Qatar SC and Al Arabi–Al Sailiya have all been postponed.

"The Federation announces the postponement of all tournaments, competitions, and matches, with immediate effect and until further notice. The dates for the resumption of tournaments will be communicated later through the Federation's official channels. We pray to Almighty God to protect our country and grant it security and peace," the statement reads.

The suspension is linked to the conflict that erupted in recent hours between Iran, the United States, and Israel.
