That's according to journalist Pete O'Rourke, who claims that Sutton is "expected" to make another loan move away from QPR next month once he returns from his stint at Morecambe, with a number of National League clubs, including Hartlepool United, believed to be keen to land his signature.

Sutton has been with the R's since Under-12 level, and he has caught the eye during his rise through the club's academy ranks, with his most notable moment coming when he scored a hat-trick against Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup last season.

The 19-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan with Southern League Premier Division South side Hanwell Town before signing his first professional contract with the Hoops in January, and he made two senior appearances for the West London outfit before the end of the campaign.

Sutton made his first start for QPR in their EFL Cup defeat at Plymouth Argyle back in August, and the following month, he made the move to National League outfit Morecambe, but his loan at the Mazuma Stadium is set to expire.

It was an eventful summer for Morecambe following their relegation from League Two, and with the club starting the season late after initially being suspended by the National League, Sutton was one of a host of new arrivals as manager Ashvir Singh Johal was forced to build almost an entire squad in a matter of weeks.

Sutton enjoyed a dream debut for the Shrimps as he netted a late winner in a dramatic 4-3 victory over Wealdstone in a game where his side had earlier surrendered a three-goal lead, but that remains his only goal contribution during his time in Lancashire.

Despite that, Sutton has been a regular starter in recent months and has produced plenty of bright moments, but he has been unable to guide Morecambe away from danger, with the club currently sitting 22nd in the table, three points from safety.

As Sutton prepares to depart the Mazuma Stadium, it seems another loan move is on the cards for him in the January transfer window, and he may get the opportunity to join a side at the other end of the National League table, with Hartlepool said to be among his admirers.

After a strong run of form since Nicky Featherstone replaced Simon Grayson as manager in October, Pools currently sit ninth in the table, and they are just four points from the play-off places, albeit they have played two more games than seventh-placed Southend United.

Emmerson Sutton will be keen to impress Julien Stephan as latest QPR departure looms

Given the issues Morecambe have experienced this season on and off the pitch, it is fair to say it has not been the easiest loan spell for Sutton, but he has still performed well for the Lancashire outfit.

With clubs from higher up the National League table showing interest in Sutton, he may have a better opportunity to show what he is capable of in a more successful side, and a move to a team in the play-off race such as Hartlepool could be the perfect next step in the winger's career.

QPR head coach Julien Stephan has been willing to give young players a chance since taking over at Loftus Road in the summer, so Sutton will be determined to shine during his next loan move in order to force his way into the Frenchman's plans ahead of pre-season.
