According to information from RMC Sport, Quentin Merlin (22) is training with the Olympique de Marseille first team despite withdrawing from the France U21s after reports emerged that he had sustained an injury ahead of the international break.

The outlet writes that Marseille had discussed this with the French Football Federation and the two parties had agreed that Merlin would be left out of the international squad as part of a prevention and precautionary principle. Merlin has been absent for most of the season and missed key games against Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain.
