Supporters in South America have gained a well deserved reputation for the manner in which they follow their teams.
That was never more in evidence than this weekend when Argentine outfit Racing Club celebrated their first continental title since the 1980s with victory over Cruzeiro in Asunción.
And so delighted were their supporters during the game as they raced into an early lead that they literally caused the stadium to shake violently - not that they seemed to notice much amid their joy.
Their commitment to the cause didn't end there either.
It also emerged that the Racing fan who shot to fame a few years ago for bringing the skull of his deceased grandfather to games did so again for the big final in Paraguay - hoping it would prove a good omen as his grandfather had been in attendance in 1967 when they also won an intercontinental title.
It appears it worked!
