As reported by Voetbalkrant, Radja Nainggolan is still looking for a new club. Despite negotiations with a number of Saudi clubs and KV Mechelen, no concrete offer has been forthcoming for the 35-year-old midfielder. In an interview with Italian media, the player revealed that while he remains motivated to continue playing, no club appears to want him.
Nainggolan’s most recent club was SPAL, where he spent the latter half of the 2022/2023 season. He made 10 appearances for the side, scoring once. His move back to Italy came after Antwerp terminated his contract for disciplinary reasons. During an eventful 12 months in Belgium, the experienced former Belgian international made 55 appearances and scored six goals.
The midfielder made a name for himself in Serie A. At Roma he made over 200 appearances, scoring 33 goals. Inter picked him up in 2018, but he spent most of his time outside of Milan on loan with Cagliari. He only made 41 appearances for Inter between 2018 and 2021. During two spells with Cagliari on loan, he played 41 games and scored seven goals. This was a return to the club he had played for between 2010 and 2014, where he made 137 appearances.
As a Belgian international, Nainggolan played 30 times and scored six goals.
