Rafa Mir court date set for 28 May | OneFootball

Rafa Mir will face trial on 28 May over an alleged sexual assault, concerning events from August 2024. Until then, the Elche striker remains focused on the run-in.

According to AS, the hearing is set for 10:00 in the Sección Cuarta de la Audiencia de Valencia. The court is still deciding whether it will be open to the public, as requested by his lawyer Jaime Campaner, or held behind closed doors.

The date falls after the season ends. The final round in the top flight is scheduled for 24 May, when Elche visit Girona at Montilivi. Four days later, the Murcian must attend court.

The case has progressed in recent months. Prosecutors have requested 10 and a half years in prison for Mir.

Mir and Campaner have urged calm. Two weeks ago, his counsel sought an acquittal and submitted two previously unseen videos as evidence.
