Rafa Silva is eligible to feature for Benfica against Estrela da Amadora after the final paperwork on his return was completed.

A Bola writes that the international certificate, the last document needed for his registration, was logged on Friday afternoon, meaning José Mourinho can select him for the 19th round of the Liga Portugal Betclic.

Unveiled at 19:04 on Thursday, 22 January, the 32-year-old trained at Benfica Campus in Seixal on Friday, his first session since rejoining. He worked under Mourinho, met new team-mates and reunited with Nico Otamendi, Aursnes and Trubin.

Mourinho will now decide whether to include him in the squad. He has not played since 2 November. A call-up would carry extra significance for Rafa Silva and Sidny Cabral.

Earlier this season with Besiktas, he made 16 competitive appearances, 10 in the Turkish league, four in the Conference League and two in Europa League qualifying. Across 1,360 minutes, he scored five goals and provided three assists.
