Rafael Benítez nears agreement with a club

Spanish manager Rafael Benítez is on the verge of returning to the dugout. According to Sport24, the former Liverpool and Chelsea boss is set to sign with Panathinaikos.

Out of contract since leaving Celta Vigo in March 2024, the 65-year-old Benítez has reportedly reached a near-final agreement with the Greek club on a deal running until June 2028. The Spanish tactician is expected to earn an annual salary of around €2.5 million. The official signing could take place in the coming days.
