RFEF president Rafael Louzan has said the 2030 World Cup final will be held in Spain, as reported by L'Équipe.
He made the remarks on Monday night at a gala organised by the Madrid Sports Press Association, where he received an award. The tournament is being co-hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
Louzan lauded Spain's capacity to organise major events and said the country would be the locomotive of the 2030 tournament.
The report said he had Madrid in mind to host the final, with the Bernabeu viewed as the likely venue.
He said they are working to ensure Spain is up to the task and for 2030 to be the best World Cup, marking 100 years since the first edition in Uruguay in 1930.
He also criticised scenes at the Africa Cup of Nations, saying they tarnish football's image.
