Matters in the Spanish capital are currently tense, especially after Xabi Alonso has seemingly lost the dressing room’s support.

There is, indeed, an element of exaggeration given the team’s coincidental poor run of form, but there is no denying that there are some influential voices in the dressing room who are against Alonso’s continuity.

No names have understandably come to the for, but it is known for a fact that Vinicius is one of the players who does not get along well with the new manager who has not hesitated to bench him on occasion. After all, the duo even clashed in the aftermath of the Clasico.

Nadal speaks on Real Madrid

Tennis legend and well-known Real Madrid supporter Rafael Nadal spoke about the club in a recent interaction and began by giving his two cents on how the whole Vinicius-Xabi Alonso saga was handled.

“I think it has been handled well. It is arranged by speaking from the understanding,” he said, as quoted by MARCA.

Stating that Vinicius must grow to respect seniority and authority, the legendary player said,

“Vinicius has to understand who the authority is. These are things that can be corrected by communicating.”

He then advised the player on how it was essential to keep relationships strong especially with managers and peers.

“The first person who should take advantage of the improvement and rivalry in his position is Vinicius because he needs powerful allies.”

Speaking on Real Madrid as a whole, Nadal admitted that he Florentino Perez to be the best president the club could have.

“Right now they have the best,” he said.

He was then finally asked about his desire of becoming the Real Madrid president in the future, to which he calmly said,

“You never know. Conceptually, it’s something that would be wonderful. But what does that mean?”

“Well, if I were to consider it, I would have to do so when I’m ready. In part, I would like to be in a position where I could consider it, but I don’t know,” he concluded.
