Rafael Obrador is on the verge of joining Torino, with the Benfica left back already in Turin for medicals before finalising his signing.

According to A Bola, the Benfica number three received clearance to travel to Italy after weeks of on off talks between the parties.

Torino president Urbano Cairo said the defender attended their match at the stadium, that almost everything is agreed, and that he is in the city to complete medicals before signing.

The move is understood to be a loan until the end of the current campaign, with an option to buy in the summer, and it required Real Madrid’s approval due to their retained rights over the Spaniard.

This season for Benfica, Obrador has played three matches, one in Liga Portugal Betclic and two in the Segunda Liga, totalling 237 minutes. He has one goal and one assist. He is valued at two million euros and has a contract to June 2030.
