Rafael Santos reached 100 career appearances on Friday 11 as Bac Ninh beat Công An HCMC 1-0 in the Vietnamese top flight.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the Flamengo academy graduate debuted for the seniors in 2019 and featured in 2020, making five first-team outings before stints with Apoel, Moreirense, Santa Clara and Leixões. The 28-year-old centre-back moved to Vietnam in this window to join Bac Ninh.

He described the milestone as the fulfilment of a childhood dream after overcoming serious injuries, and said he wants to keep playing for a long time.
