Rafaelle started six of the nine games she played for the Pride before her injury. The Houston Dash selected her 10th in the 2024 NWSL draft.. She is the first Brazilian selected in the league. The Pride chose her via Discovery on July 3, 2023.

Before oining the Pride, she totaled 35 appearances and four goals with Arsenal. She also has experience on senior National Team, two Women’s World Cup rosters, and two Olympic rosters.

Rafaelle said she’s most happy to return to work and begin earning more starts. The organization and Pride supporters will also be happy to see her on the pitch.

Those same supporters were starting to line up for Grace Chanda's Pride debut.. First she had to appear with Zambia in the Olympics.

During her performance at the Olympics, something went wrong and she injured the quadriceps tendon in her right leg. Her scheduled team debut was canceled and she was placed on the injured list.

The Pride went so far as to file a grievance with FIFA stating that the Zambia Federation failed to provide a reasonable standard of care for player health and safety on behalf of Grace Chanda. There’s no reported resolution of this grievance that can be confirmed by Otowns11.com.

So Grace Chanda, Rafaelle, their teammates and coaches are determined to move on and reach the new plateau that awaits to challenge them.

Supporters should be ready to cheer them on as they reach even greater heights of performance and achievement.
