Valencia beat Osasuna 1-0 at Mestalla on LaLiga matchday 26, Largie Ramazani settling it from the spot after a retake.
According to Superdeporte, the hosts delivered a disciplined, defensively ordered display and made one big moment count to claim three points.
Unai controlled from a corner then crossed with a rabona. Ramazani provided a fine delivery before Sadiq tried from distance, later rounding the keeper to win the penalty. Ramazani converted, his first kick retaken for Gayà’s encroachment, and scored again.
After the break Comert intercepted a dangerous ball aimed at Budimir and was booked for a heavy challenge. Dimitrievski was secure, strong under high crosses. Thierry struggled to impose himself down the right.
Guido organised play from deep, switching it neatly and going close from a corner. Javi Guerra knitted moves and recovered possession, Ugrinic pressed higher with discipline.
Rioja departed on 55, with Gayà and Ugrinic withdrawn on 76. Danjuma added energy, Tárrega and Jesús Vázquez helped close it out. In added time Diego López returned from injury and Hugo Duro came on without impact.
Carlos Corberán kept faith with a settled eleven and managed the lead pragmatically. The side looked balanced and competitive, though they still need to play better and be more damaging.
