The Magpies were beaten 4-1 at Anfield at the weekend, with the reigning champions netting twice either side of half time to cancel out Anthony Gordon's well-taken opener.
Ramsey and United started well on Merseyside but were undone by a Hugo Ekitike double, a Florian Wirtz effort and Ibrahima Konaté's late strike.
But speaking after the final whistle, Ramsey was keen to emphasise the importance of moving on swiftly, with the midweek trip to City - and the chance to reach another Wembley final - now firmly in their sights.
Here are some of his post-match thoughts:
"I think when we look at the goals, they're from our mistakes. It was always going to be tough coming to Anfield. We had a positive result midweek and we thought we could come here and do the same.
"As a whole, I thought we played alright. We were a lot braver in the second half on the ball, playing out from the back.
"It was disappointing for the goals, but we've got another game on Wednesday so head up, be confident and go into Wednesday."
"I think it was the second goal, I think from their goal kick we didnt set up properly. We took too long to set up.
"But like i said, they were poor goals to concede, but we've got to keep our heads up and be confident - we can't dwell on this one.
"We'll obviously look at the mistakes and go over the game, but move on quickly."
"We went ahead with Gordy - a really good goal. I think their first two goals came quite quick (after). The first goal came and we weren't really settled, and they get the second two or three minutes later.
"Both two goals were a real blow when they came within two or three minutes. But we've got to move on."
"The gaffer said that at full time. (It's) another big game on Wednesday, 2-0 down in the Carabao Cup semi-final - we have to move on quickly.
"If you look at our next three or four fixtures, they're big games against big teams. We wanted to win here today, but we've got to keep our heads up and move on."
"I don't think we need lifting, to be fair. It's a semi-final, I know we're 2-0 down, but it's a semi-final of the Carabao Cup - (there are) not many bigger games, do you know what I mean? So full of confidence, head up, and keep battling."
