Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce meanwhile will travel to Swiss side Lugano in the second round before potentially facing Lille in the third round.

Elsewhere in the League part of the draw, Slavia Prague face Union SG of Belgium and Red Bull Salzburg take on Twente.

The Champions League will take on a new format this season with a single league structure replacing the old group stages.

The new Swiss Model sees 36 teams play eight games each with the top eight automatically qualifying for the knockout stages and those sides ninth to 24th facing a two-legged play-off to progress.

The opening games will take place on September 17.
