The mood around Ibrox has changed completely as the Scottish Premiership moves into the final phase this April. Following a messy start to the season, Danny Rohl has tightened things up for the Rangers, giving the squad a much clearer sense of direction on the pitch. You can see that shift in the recent scorelines, especially that wild 6-3 win over Falkirk, which showed off both their attacking spark and their grit.
The team are currently out in Spain for a warm-weather training camp, a move Rohl hopes will clear out their minds before the pressure of the league split kicks in. Fans are genuinely starting to believe again now that the gap at the top has disappeared, leaving the title race wide open. This turnaround has put several big names in the transfer window, leading to plenty of talk about whether the club can keep their best players together for the long haul.
The transfer market is starting to bubble as Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider reports that Rangers are bracing for a wave of big-money bids for Belgian midfielder Nicolas Raskin this summer. The report says the club are getting ready for a fight to keep him, even though he’s been at the heart of the tactical improvements made by Danny Rohl. Raskin has shown he is the glue in that midfield, and his stats show exactly why scouts from across Europe are keeping a close eye on him.
During this 2025/2026 campaign, the 25-year-old has chipped in with five goals and seven assists in 31 games, totalling 12 goal contributions. His passing has been just as sharp, with an 86.27% success rate and nearly 1.5 key passes every game.
Those stats put him in the top 3% of the league for expected assists, marking him out as one of the most creative players in the country (stats via Footy Stats). Even though he’s tied down until 2028, the hierarchy is worried that even the promise of Champions League football might not be enough to keep Premier League and Turkish clubs at bay.

The big question for the board is how to balance winning trophies with the cold, hard cash of the modern transfer market. Selling someone like Raskin would bring in a huge profit, but losing him could easily kill the momentum Rohl has worked so hard to build.
Personally, I think Rangers have to put stability first if they want to stay on top in Scotland and hold their own in Europe. Raskin is the engine room of this team, and replacing his technical skill would be a massive and expensive task for the scouting department.
With plenty of time left on his contract, the club are in a strong position; they should only even answer the phone if a massive, too good to refuse offer comes in. If you want to build a winning culture, you have to keep your best players while they’re in their prime, especially when the manager has a clear vision. The board should dig their heels in and hold out for a premium, because Raskin is exactly the type of player they need for the Champions League battles ahead.
