The Tractor Boys defender is being courted by a host of top clubs this summer.
Valencia have joined Rangers and Girona in the race to sign Ipswich Town defender, Cameron Burgess.
The Tractor Boys are expected to undergo a busy summer of ins and outs, as they look to position themselves for an immediate return to the Premier League next season.
The club has already waved goodbye to talismanic centre-forward Liam Delap, as Chelsea triggered his £30m release clause following their relegation from the top flight.
However, Ipswich now also look set to lose another important player from their squad this summer in the shape of experienced defender, Cameron Burgess.
A report from Spanish outlet EIDesmarque has claimed that Valencia's CEO, Ron Gourlay, has already met up with Burgess to discuss a possible switch to the La Liga giants this summer.
They go on to state that any move to the Mestalla stadium may well hinge on whether Valencia suffer any losses in their defensive department this summer, whilst claiming that a concrete offer to the Australian international is likely to arrive should contract talks break down with their highly-rated prospect, Cristhian Mosquera.
Burgess is out of contract with Ipswich at the end of this month, meaning he could soon be available to sign as a free agent.
Both Rangers and Girona have both previously been linked with a move for the former Accrington Stanley defender.
At 29, Burgess will feel as though he's still got a number of good years left in the tank.
Having proven himself to be a quality defender at Championship level after making 39 league appearances during Ipswich's memorable automatic promotion-winning 2023/24 campaign, and having held his own at Premier League level last term, he may well have little interest in playing second tier football once again.
Valencia are one of Spanish football's biggest and most successful clubs, having won six La Liga titles, they've lifted the Copa del Rey eight times and been runner-up on 10 occasions, as well as boasting a Europa League trophy and are two-time Champions League runners-up.
As such, a move to Carlos Corberan's side would surely be a highly attractive proposition for Burgess, and with the Socceroos looking set to claim their place at the 2026 World Cup, playing for such a high-profile club in a top league will surely only bolster his chances of being on the plane.
Ipswich are understood to be in contract talks with their defender over a new deal at Portman Road, but with potential options such as Valencia, Rangers and Girona on the table, convincing him to sign on for at least one season of Championship football could be a tough sell for the Tractor Boys.
